HBP trailer

Edit, there is a HD version of the trailer available at movifone, but it is in Quicktime format. Quicktime has never worked properly on any of our computers, so no HD trailer for me :(

I've tried to download it so many times, I managed to actually get one copy to open, but then it only showed one frame, seized up so I could only get sound but no video. Argh! Why do they insist on making these things in flash or quicktime? They never work properly!

take care,
Annette

You're very welcome :) It could have done with a bit more Harry in the trailer and what's up with no Snape? The Half Blood Prince himself, LOL!

I nearly stayed up till 3am just to wait for this and I'm glad I didn't. Although I'm glad there is finally something from WB!!

I had to watch it 3 times just to catch what was going on in the flashed bit. I think I saw Greyback, Ron almost dying, Ginny and Dumbledore and the ring bit.

I WANT SNAPE!! Where was the Half Blood Prince?

Thanks so much for sticking this up here though and sorry about the rant...just wondering if everyone else felt the same way!

Can't wait for November! (I'm just annoyed we're going to have to wait 3 years for the slashtastic scene with Snape and Harry in the Shrieking Shack!)

actually they quite often offer trailers in Quicktime format because of the great video quality that is possible at a relatively small file size - given a choice between Quicktime format and Windows Media Video format I'd opt for Quicktime in a heartbeat - as for not being playable on your computer - most of the time it is necessary especially with new releases to get the latest version - (currently the most recent version of Quicktime is 7.5 and if possible upgrading to Quicktime Pro is always encouraged ;) ) - also especially with HD versions of files how well your computer plays them is directly related to your video(graphics) board, the board memory as well available RAM on the computer

I can access and download all the versions of the trailer at Moviefone - the best for playback on computer is either the 480p or the 720p - the 1080p works for me but only if I shut everything else down before playing it back (and I have a good graphics card AND 2GB of RAM on my system)

if you would like I can make the file(s) available to you for download (and saving) as either Quicktime file(s) OR converted to .avi file(s)

Thanks, I tried the lower res version, the 720 and got it to work, LOL! I think it's probably that our computer system is old ;)

Woo! Finally get to see a trailer! *bouncebouncebounce* I'm rather excited to see the film. Seeing a bit of Tom as a child is a curiosity for me. I've noticed the similarities between the two adversaries, and I'm looking forward to how the film will portray that.

Whoa I really have to read up on this book again. I don't want to but I shall before the movie >.<

Book 6 and 7 weren't my favourite but I really hope there is a lot of Severus Snape in this movie!!

EEk! Litte Tom is cute!
Thanks for posting this, I hadn't noticed. Finally handed in my BA Тhesis yesterday, though, so I can start living again now. ;D
I agree, much too little about the main characters in here. But. I already pity little Tom. I think that movie will stray pretty far from the book, where the length of certain scenes is concerned; if that trailor is anything to go by...

Hey, there! It's just me, Annie aka roedhunt! I hope you don't mind that I friended you here. I rarely use roedhunt anymore, so this is pretty much my main journal.

I just wanted to friend you because I miss reading your posts! And your stories, of course. *g*
